COMMUNITY OUTREACH INITIATIVE

Community Outreach Initiative (COI) is committed to reinvigorating communities in the Proviso Township and other impoverished areas. The percentage of poor Americans living in severe poverty has reached a 32 year high, which is nearly 16 million Americans are living in deep or severe poverty. 

COI was founded based on an understanding that individuals with criminal records has a hard time finding employment. We believe that once an individual has served their time, they should be entitled to a second chance to be a productive, self-sufficient member of their community. The role of COI counselors is to work with our clients and train them by going through job readiness training, mock interviews, and resume preparation.
